I have tractor trailers full of parts for 1989 to 1993 Dodge diesel trucks. One other thing I would like to mention is. I recommend you buy several while the getting is good. This size seal is a vary uncommon size !!! No one wants to make them because they only fit these Cummins engines. When these are gone THERE WILL BE NO MORE MADE unless I get a minimum order for 1000 pieces. I thought I would offer some to the other truck enthusiasts out there before I sold them all off to the fleets or one of the seal companies. I was sick and tired of all MY nice trucks leaking oil ! The trouble is that I had a minimum order to meet to get them made. I designed and had these made for one simple reason. I designed it to seal even if the housing was mis aligned or if the crank was out of round. This also does not work when the engine is not under a load and the road draft tupe relives all the pressure. They also relied on crank case pressure to hold the lip against the crank instead of a spring. The stock PTFE seals did not work with these clearances. The seal retainers alignment could be as much as. The biggest problem was Cummins quality control. There were 13 revisions of the seal in the years past. We had a lot of trouble with the rear main seals leaking and blowing out of the seal retainer. Further research has confirmed that the seal will fit the above as well as the later 6.7 from 1989 threw present ! I was an engineer at Chrysler when we first started using the 5.9. It has a rubber coating around the outside diameter to keep it tight in the seal retainer. It has a tension spring to keep the seal lip tight against the crank. This seal is made like a normal nitril oil seal like you are used to seeing. This seal will also fit the 4 cylinder 4BT engines as well.
